Apartment Hotel, one of the finest holiday resort hotels on the
famous Bamburi Beach. It is on the North Coast of Mombasa, Kenya�s
historic
Indian Ocean town. INDIANA, as it is popularly known, is within easy
reach: 24 Kms from Moi International Airport and 13 Kms from Mombasa
Town off the highway to Malindi.
Accommodation:
INDIANA offers 200 beds. The resort is designed to international
standards and offers a wide variety of accommodation which includes:
Deluxe Hotel Rooms: with shower and toilet, TV, mini-bar and
telephone and beautiful furnishings. Each has a spacious balcony
over looking a swimming pool, as well as a panoramic view of the
ocean.
Beach Villas: consisting of two bedroom single storey houses
situated in a lovely garden right next to the beach. Each bedroom
has an en suite shower and toilet, and there is a fully equipped
kitchen. The villas are light and airy, with a spacious living area
opening on to a garden terrace and the sea.
Rondavels: two bedroom apartments in detached two storey
rondavels, fully furnished. Each apartment has two bedrooms with
en-suite shower and toilet, a large living and dining area and a
fully equipped kitchen. Spacious balconies face the swimming pool,
which is for the exclusive use of the apartment guests. The
rondavels have thatched roofs and are surrounded by a beautiful
tropical garden, giving the atmosphere of a small village.
Studios: one bedroom apartments with an attached shower and
toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. Each room has a spacious
balcony facing yet another swimming pool set in its own a lush green
garden.
FOOD OUTLETS:
Casaurina Beach Snack Bar: This is open 7 days a week from
09:00 until 22:00hours.
Here you can be served light meals, snacks, drinks, ice cream, and
fruit and juices
all day long, or just sit and enjoy the view of the white sandy
beach, the cool sea breeze
and sound of the waves.
Eagle�s Nest : Our main dining room overlooking the hotel
pool. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served here for hotel guests.
The main bar is open from 09:00 to 21:30 hours. On some nights we
serve a barbecue dinner around the pool, where guests enjoy the folk
dances while eating under the stars giving a romantic and cozy
atmosphere.
Sea View Deck: This well equipped hall has a view of the
beach and is big enough for conferences of up to 250pax, theatre
style. It is available for private functions with table service or
buffet dinners and (a live orchestra) on request.
And choice of both Indian and continental menu. All equipment
required for conferences is available e.g. P.A. System, Flip Charts,
Projectors, Videos etc. Here we can also have private functions like
wedding receptions and informal parties.
Maharajah: Well known along the coast, this exclusive Indian
restaurant has the finest dishes served in elegant surroundings and
live Indian music from accomplished performers. Open every night
except Tuesday. Open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Sports
There are three swimming pools, the PADI Diving Center and school
for scuba diving, windsurfing, water polo and other water sports. We
also have facilities for volleyball, table tennis, table football,
pool, darts and board games.
